Conservatories have become very popular. This is mainly because they represent a way of substantially increasing the area of your house without having to knock the structure around. Conservatories are constructed mainly of u PVC this is the first choice of most customers, for the same reasons as windows, low maintenance and durability. The thermal efficiency is the same as for windows. Wood is the other material often used for conservatories. The durability issue is addressed by using hardwood, however maintenance is required now and again.

In summer they offer a halfway house between indoors and the garden, shelter from summer showers without having to completely withdraw to the house. In winter they make an excellent viewing room for you to see the garden wildlife. They are often heated which makes them in to a all year room, great for kids!
